John Seabolt – Tenor Saxophone
I have been playing tenor sax for almost 50 years. Like many, my music career began in Athens, Georgia, where I played mostly for local clubs. I attended Athens High School from 1962 – 1966 where I played in the high school band. I went on to attend the University of Georgia and continued my musical career, playing for local clubs, fraternities and sororities at the University. The summer of 1966 I went on the road working for Medallions, Inc. out of Greenwood, SC and played with the Pieces of Eight. I had the pleasure of playing with the them and many other famous recording groups and individuals for many years. One of the most memorable, was Herb Reed and The Platters. I still enjoy playing for so many of our fans who continue to follow us today.
