Ace is from the Greenville area of South Carolina and is a graduate of Clemson University. His earlier musical career in South Carolina included performing with the groups “Ace & The Unknown Five” and “Ace & The Danes”. In subsequent years he was the lead vocalist for “The Swinging Professionals out of Athens, GA & then joined lead vocalist Jimmy Asip with the “Bits & Pieces” from Atlanta, GA to form truly one of the best vocal duos in the southeast. Ace had a productive booking agency in South Carolina during the 70’s & 80’s and booked many national acts as well as most of the southeastern beach acts, which are still performing today. When “The Pieces Of Eight” decided to regroup after many years of inactivity, he was excited to be once again reunited with many of his old buddies from the “Bits”. He thoroughly enjoys the chemistry & interaction with the audience each & every time “The Pieces” perform. Over the years, his love of music and sports has brought him together with many close friends with the same passions.
